Mayra Barraza Casa is 32 years old and a single mother to Angel Gabriel (14) and Maria Isabel (12). Their story is all too familiar—a mother working tirelessly to raise her two children while earning a living by selling items at the local market. Through her determination, she has managed to purchase a small plot of land where the family now lives.
Unfortunately, her income is not enough to build a safe, permanent structure. Their current house is made of scrap materials, barely held together. With the support of Kindness Adventure volunteers and the generosity of our donors, our goal is to build a brand-new home for Mayra and her children this November.

Mayra Barraza Casa is 32 years old and a single mother to Angel Gabriel (14) and Maria Isabel (12). Their story is all too familiar—a mother working tirelessly to raise her two children while earning a living by selling items at the local market. Through her determination, she has managed to purchase a small plot of land where the family now lives. And during the first week of November, a team of dedicated volunteers (Jax, Karren, Judith, Josie, Kate, Kitty, Ellen, Cynthia, Linda, Erica, Dalia, Meyer, and Craig), alongside local contractors (Fabian, Hilario, and Arturo), turned incredibly generous donations into a brand new home. Thanks to all of them, and you, Mayra and her family are sleeping safe and sound in their brand new home!!
